dot-art Gallery Launch
Liverpool based dot-art held a launch party last night to celebrate the opening of their new gallery and were overwhelmed by the turnout, as over 250 people came along to see work by nearly 100 local artists.
The new gallery, which will show a rotating selection of work by dot-art's members, all of whom are based in Merseyside, is situated just off Castle Street, in Queen Avenue. A wide range of art is stocked, as well as a selection of cards, books and calendars, all by local artists. It marks the next stage of dot-art's development, providing three times more display space than their previous gallery, and occupying a prominent position in the prestigious avenue.
Lucy Byrne, Director of dot-art, was delighted by the success of the event. She said:
"We could not have hoped for a better evening, it was wonderful to have so much support from both the artistic and business communities of the city. We have been getting great feedback from our guests, whose only complaint has been that there were so many people it was hard to see the art work! We are delighted with the new gallery and look forward to showing work by many more of the talented artists of Liverpool."
Live music from pianist Jez Wing and a great selection of wines from the Purple Wine Company, added to the charm of the beautiful Queen Avenue, ensured that a relaxing and enjoyable evening was had by all.
The dot-art gallery is now open from 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday and by appointment on Saturday. For more information, please see www.dot-art.com, or call 0845 017 6660.
