Artist & Illustrator Sophie Green

Sophie Green is a freelance Artist, Illustrator and Graphic Designer working in the heart of Liverpool.

Wonder

Sophie explains her reasons for recently becoming a freelance artist:

"I have 10 years experience working in Graphic Design for various employers but going Freelance at the beginning of 2009 has enabled me to be more flexible with the work I do. I have developed my core business skill set to include Painting and Illustration alongside Graphic Design, it's the variety of the work I produce that makes me tick and keeps me inspired."

Green Pieces Up

Sophie's projects to date include three art exhibitions, Children's Story illustration commissions, website designs, logo design, brochure design and newspaper layouts. Sophie is also involved in numerous art fairs.

Sophie beleives the City of Liverpool has insprired her work. Sophie explains:

"I moved to Liverpool in 2008 and immersed myself in the vibrancy of the city during it's Capital of Culture year, the creativity and support of Liverpool has been a great inspiration and drive to succeed."

Baba House

Sophie currently has an exhibition running entitled 'Green Pieces' A New Exhibition by Sophie Green - 27th July - 4th September 2009.

Dog With Bone

Sophie has this to say about her work:

"My work is influenced by many things; bright colour, shapes and nature. This new work reflects my background in Graphic Design, my love of illustration and my current obsession with cats, which cannot be avoided! Living and working in Liverpool has been a great inspiration for my work; there's never a dull moment living in this city!"

Green Pieces Bananas

Green Pieces is open to the public at dot-art, 16 Queen Avenue, Castle Street, 12-6pm Monday - Friday from Monday 27th July to Friday 4th September. Admission is free.
